The aim is to rejuvenate the three kilometre long walking and cycling trail to encourage greater usage, promote active lifestyles and social opportunities and provide a safe, accessible and appealing environment for both residents and visitors. The trail follows sand dunes and along it you will find native cypress pines, western myall trees and native saltbush. Depending upon seasonal rainfall spring can also bring an array of colourful wildflowers.
Proposed enhancements include interpretative signage to increase appreciation and understanding of the natural surrounds, upgraded entrance ways and improved road crossing points. At the southern end of the trail walkers will find the Hermit Street playground - soon to be redeveloped into a a nature play based playground. Hermit Street Playground Upgrade
