The last tour date for 2017 will be the 16th of August. This is due to BHP having a major smelter shutdown commencing on 21 August, we have just had announced this week (4/08/17) that they will not be able to facilitate the tours for the rest of the year due to a change in the original planned works.
We will still be showing the ‘Olympic Dam Story’ Screening in our Cinema on each Wednesday morning until the end of October at 9am, or please call us to organise another time that will suit your group. This will be a free screening that shares the history of Roxby Downs and Olympic Dam and talks through the processing plant and also gives a virtual underground tour of the mine site.
